Cane Development Program

In order to improve the economic status of the cane supplying farmers of our factory. SGSL have undertaken Cane Development Program to increase the cane yield per hectare and sugar recovery in cane in which continuous guidance is given to farmer to adopt modern techniques right from sowing to harvesting of cane.

To improve their soil fertility, we are providing “TRIMURTI” organic manure, soil & water testing facility, and green manure with recommended dosages as per soil condition from sowing till maturation of plant. We are also providing improved variety of cane seeds along with dosages of manure time to time for plant and ratoon crops on credit basis without charging any interest to the farmers. To encourage farmers to adopt modern technology, factory has started to provide subsidy for drip irrigation program. The factory also helps to overcome pest and disease of crops by providing necessary insecticides on credit basis without charging interest.

The factory is organizing frequent lectures and camps for farmers at village level to increase the average yield above 100 tons sugar cane per acre to all farmers.
